Howard came to Clairmont Hills in January 2002 and serves as Minister of Education and Administration. One passage in the Bible that speaks to his role as a minister is found in Ephesians 4: "Christ gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up..." Based on this, Howard believes his mission as a minister is to help people discover their gifts and talents and equip them to do the work to which God has called them.
Howard has previously served churches in Texas in music and education ministries. He attended Houston Baptist University and earned a master's degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
He and his wife Tricia, a teacher, have two children.
