Minister of Youth - Jacob Peeples

Our new Minister of Youth is a young man who grew up in our midst.  We are excited that Jacob Peeples has accepted our invitation to take on this strategic responsibility.  Please pray for Jacob as he reaches out to students in our community.

At Clairmont Hills, we have a small but active group of youth who not only have a good time but also seek to develop spiritual and relational ground when we meet each week. We have the goal to please God in our attitudes, lifestyles and actions as we learn what it means to be a Christ follower in today's world. Come join us on our journey!

The Elements of Our Youth Ministry

Bible Teaching

Each Sunday morning we have a lesson from the Scriptures that helps to put God’s Word into perspective and assists students in applying God's Word to their everyday life. We are currently going through the Bible one book per week, seeking to get an overview of each book. Students are challenged to memorize a 10-word synopsis of each book. Our ultimate goal is to gain an overall picture of what each book is about and to see what we can learn about God from that particular book. We ask, "If this was the only book of the Bible we had, what would it tell us about God?"

Fun and Fellowship

For youth, interaction with other youth is important. To facilitate friendship and fellowship, we have a game room where the youth can hang out before and after our Sunday evening and Wednesday evening meetings. There is often food available to snack on and an endless supply of competition in which to participate. We have a growing calendar of events for youth to participate in as well.

Church Involvement

It is our goal that each youth be an active member of this church body. We do this by participating in regular church events including weekly Life Groups, Morning Worship, and Wednesday and Sunday evening events. Students are asked take an active part in this community and to be plugged in to what God would have them to do. We have weekly opportunities to be involved through our Youth Band, Handbells, and volunteering with our children’s programs. Annually our youth are involved in helping with our Vacation Bible School, drama productions, our Drive Through Living Nativity, Summer Youth Camp, and many other activities.

Ministry Outreach

We desire to make a difference in our community. Our Youth are encouraged to participate in special drama programs, community workdays, and free festivals and movie nights on our property. We are also looking to reach beyond our walls to our neighboring community with trips to a local soup kitchen and other Atlanta service groups.

Missions Focus

Many of our youth have also participated in our church missions trips to such places as New York, Mississippi, and Ohio. Listen for news of mission opportunities.
